As we age, or go through life, our skin changes too. Dietary changes, hormonal shifts, moving into a new home , starting a new job, traveling, all have effects on our skin.
The one thing that is constant is change. Our environment is constantly changing, both internally and externally. It’s the one thing you can depend on.
In my 20s, I had severe cystic acne and by the time I turned 40 I had dry skin and wrinkles! It’s all part of the aging process and is completely normal. It’s important to try different skin care products or routines and find what works for you. Changing up your skin care routine seasonally can also help. Think of it like “shaking things up“ for your skin. Give something new a try. Also, there are seasonal differences in temperature and humidity that can have an effect on your skin. Typically, we get drier in the winter months and oilier in the summer months. That means changing your skin care at least twice a year might be in order.
Staying hydrated is probably the single most important thing for healthy skin. Drinking a glass of water in the morning with a slice of lemon and a pinch of turmeric can give you an energy boost and start your day off right. Try to consume at least 3 to 4 glasses of water a day to maintain a radiant glow. Your body will thank you too!
